The most wearable colour we sell

A blue dress is the least risky coloured purchase there is. Navy carries the same formality as black without the severity, and it is the one colour that reads correct at a work event, a christening and a wedding alike. Lighter blues are the summer answer — they photograph well in strong daylight where darker shades absorb it.

It also flatters more widely than most colours. Blue sits opposite warm skin tones and alongside cool ones, which is why it turns up in every wardrobe regardless of what suits the wearer elsewhere.

What we carry

Four are midi and one is maxi, with a mini beach dress. Five are day dresses and three are cut for holidays — this is a daytime edit rather than an evening one.

The pieces: a sleeveless bodycon denim maxi, a flutter-sleeve lace-up print midi, a round-neck vintage floral midi, a twist-front pleated mini beach dress, a butterfly-sleeve geometric boho maxi, and a flutter mesh-sleeve chiffon midi.

Two are floral and one is denim, which is the useful spread: a print for occasions, a denim for everyday.

Navy, and the one caution

Navy is the safest blue for an occasion, with a single practical caveat: navy and black together rarely look intentional in daylight. If you are wearing a navy dress, choose tan, nude, champagne or metallic accessories rather than black. Under artificial light it matters less, but wedding photographs are usually taken outside.

Sizing

These run XS to XXL, with full measurements in centimetres on the size guide. Our dresses are true to size.

Between two sizes, take the larger in denim and woven cotton, which have almost no give, and your usual size in anything with stretch. For the bodycon denim maxi, order to your hip measurement rather than your dress size.

On length: our midi dresses are cut for around 5'7", so they sit lower on a petite frame.

Delivery and returns

UK delivery is free on every order with no minimum spend, and takes around seven working days. Returns are free within 14 days with a prepaid label in the box, so if you are between two sizes, order both and send one back at no cost.
